Target takes aim at Quebec – and Canada

If the area fenced off with construction hoarding is any indication, the Target store that is currently being built in Place Alexis Nihon in Montreal is going to be huge.  Not only does the construction site take in what used to be Zellers (and prior to that Miracle Mart for those of us old enough to remember – of course some refer to St. Joseph’s Oratory as the miracle mart, but I digress), but the entire south side of the Metro level is also fenced off.

Clearly in an effort to ingratiate Target with locals, the sign on the hoarding repeats the  Salut Quebec! slogan. But someone has decided some mention should be made of Canada and they have tacked on a small Maple Leaf flag just below the flourish on the largest Salut Quebec!
