Does the Maytag Repairman have a cruel streak? No wonder he was so lonely for so long, it seems he’s got a dark side.
Is it just me or is there something potentially dangerous about the current Maytag oven TV commercial?
In the ad a woman, using oven mitts – clearly indicating that the item is hot, removes a pizza from the oven as a group of hungry youngsters descends upon her and helps themselves to slices of the hot pizza. The kids are, not surprisingly, not wearing oven mitts and yet they seem to be able to handle the pizza and walk off gobbling it down.
God forbid anyone should try to scarf down a slice of pizza as it comes out of the oven. This ad should be removed before someone actually tries to serve scalding hot pizza to children right out of the oven resulting, no doubt, in burns to hands, tongues and palates.
