Happy Cinco de Mayo!

As I have written before , when it comes to condiments I cast my vote for mayonnaise.  Evidently I’m not alone as mayo has been ranked number one in the highly touted, pay-per-view, over-analyzed condiment competition.

I can’t begin to express my pleasure at learning that Mexico has an entire day of  appreciation for mayonnaise, a national holiday in fact. Happy Cinco de Mayo! Roughly translated this means a fifth of mayonnaise – a fifth being an older term, often used to measure alcohol, and refers to a fifth of a gallon.

Cinco deIt just doesn’t work with Miracle Whip …
