Montreal Company Removes Racist Graffiti for Free

Montreal pressure-washing company Provincial Power Washing removes graffiti from walls. It’s what they do, how they make a living. But what sets them apart is that should the scrawled message be racist or threatening, the company will remove it free of charge.

According to Corey Fleischer “I charge for regular graffiti, but anybody who’s being attacked — religiously or community-wise — or being denigrated, it hits me at home,” he said. “I feel like I have to do my part, otherwise I’m just turning a blind eye. … It bothers me tremendously.”

An interesting juxtaposition: in a society that has on the one hand low-life haters damaging property with their venom, we have on the other hand a company, in the same profit-driven society that removes this crap for free.

It restores one’s faith in humankind!
