Snowblower: A true Canadian icon

Maple trees, hockey, poutine, apologizing and being polite are all iconic aspects of Canada and Canadians. But perhaps one other icon needs to get some attention. I speak, of course, of the snowblower!!

These hungry beasts are usually preceded by the jarring sound of the move-your-car-or-it-will-be-towed-away siren. This is attached, appropriately, to a tow-truck to back-up the threat. Nothing is more unpleasant that being awakened by that shrill two-toned sound and realizing you have to get out of a warm bed and move your car. All part of being Canadian I guess.

If Edward Snowden blew snow instead of whistles he’d be Edward Snowblower – he’d also have a lot more freedom!
