Auguste Rodin and Montreal’s best burgher…

Today’s Daily Prompt: The Artist’s Eye brought to mind one of my favorite pieces of sculpture from Rodin’s Burghers of Calais!

Recently I was walking along Sherbrooke Street by the  Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and thought I’d stop for a Burgher.

Of course Jean d’Aire is one of Rodin’s Burghers of Calais

  1. I like the title of your blog today. 🙂 I was fortunate enough to visit the Rodin museum in Paris years ago and remember how I longed to touch the sculptures which, of course, was forbidden. Good sculpture just begs to be touched!
