Capital cities in two North American countries were shaken up on Tuesday. The Canadian capital Ottawa felt the earth move shortly after 4:05 am when a 4.5 magnitude earthquake struck near the Quebec town of Papineauville. Some Montrealers were also awakened by the quake but fortunately no injuries or damage have been reported.
Just Mother Nature letting us know who’s boss.
Meanwhile some 19 hours later, around 11:00 pm, Republicans in the United States capital, Washington, D.C. were shaken up significantly as television networks projected an Obama victory in the US election. After months of campaigning and a promise of a close result that would see legal battles for months to come and recounts galore, it really wasn’t all that close after all.
Just the US electorate letting us know who’s boss.
