Language is always a hot topic here in Quebec and I think Gwynne Dyer’s latest piece on the triumph of the English language will annoy some people, prove other people right or just fall on deaf ears.
An interesting fact is that the Politecnico di Milano, announced that from 2014 all of its courses would be taught in English.
“We strongly believe our classes should be international classes, and the only way to have international classes is to use the English language. Universities are in a more competitive world. If you want to stay with the other global universities, you have no other choice.” – Giovanni Azzon, Rector, Politecnico di Milano
